What is the best option for Dental Implants?

Dental Denticenter® is a well-known dental clinic from Tijuana —with 5 locations in total—, and the number 1 option for patients from the US who are looking for dental implants in Mexico. Dental implants are a great permanent option for tooth (or multiple teeth) loss. In addition, coming to Mexico for dental implants is a well-known option for US citizens who are looking the best and affordable option for their money. Furthermore, dental implants are the most durable option of restorative dental care and may also be used to support a dental bridge or crown. Implants today are of extremely high quality, and are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth.

What are Dental Implants?

For the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), a dental implant is a small post, usually made of titanium, that serves as a substitute for the root of the tooth. Once you have had your dental implant placed in your jaw bone, there is a healing period that the patient has to go through for approximately 3 months. Additionally, a connector, known as an abutment, is placed on the top of the dental implant, which connects it to the replacement tooth, also known as a dental crown.

FAQs About a dental implant procedure at Dental Denticenter®

How much do dental implants cost at our Denticenter® clinic in Mexico?

A dental implant in the US can cost you up to $4,500 without considering other fees along the way. At any of our 5 Denticenter® dental clinics locations in Mexico, you can save up to 60% of the total amount compared to the US, with the same quality and the best well-known doctors this side of the border.

What are the steps for a dental implant procedure?

A small hole is drilled at the edentulous (the area where there is no tooth). After the initial hole has been drilled, it must be widened in order to allow for placement of the implant screw. A protective screw is then placed on top of the implant to allow it to heal. After 3 to 4 months, the protective screw is removed, and a temporary crown is placed on top of the dental implants. The crown allows the gum line to surround the teeth naturally. Once the gum has developed properly over time, the temporary crown will be removed and a permanent crown will be put in its place. This completes the process of a dental implant.

What do you need to know after a dental implant surgery?

Patients who have just received one or more dental implants will have sensitivity to regular brushing. The dentist typically provides a special mouthwash for patients to use the first couple of days after the procedure. Once the sensitivity subsides, regular brushing and flossing of implants is very important.
