Dental Crowns in Mexico
What are dental crowns?
The Patient Education Center of the American Dental Association states that a dental crown is a cover or a “cap” that our specialists can placed on a single tooth. It is also a great way to replace a missing tooth, or teeth, when a dental implant is placed. It is important to remember that a dental crown is placed over an connector, also known as a dental abutment. At our Mexican dental clinic, Denticenter’s specialists have treated and placed thousands of dental crowns for patients in all our 5 dental clinics, and a great percentage of them have been designed, made and placed all in one day.

About the Procedure
- There are many different types of material to create dental crowns. The most common type of crowns are made out of porcelain. In the case of a porcelain crown, the tooth that the crown is being placed on will need to be made smaller in order to ensure suitable thickness of the crown, as well as appropriate aesthetics for your smile. The tooth may additionally need to be shaped so that the crown can slip easily over the tooth.
- Once the tooth is the correct shape and size, the dentist will take an impression of the tooth so the crown can be ordered. In the interim, a temporary crown will be placed on your tooth. When the permanent crown is ready, the temporary crown is removed, and the permanent crown is bonded to natural teeth. Then the dentist will buff and polish the crown to the correct bite.
